Dinamo's no mercy for partying Sammir

Any hopes Brazilian midfielder Jorge Sammir had that Dinamo Zagreb FC would drop its record quarter-of-a-million fine against him were quashed this week when the club announced it had officially fined him.

Furious Dinamo bosses came up with the whopping figure after Sammir was caught partying in Vodice just three days before an important Champions League qualifier.

Now the party-loving midfielder will have to pay out two-thirds of his yearly salary to the club.

Sammir is Dinamo FC’s key player in this year’s Champions League group where they will face PSG, Porto and Dynamo Kiev.
