Russia's Volleyball coach kills himself in Croatia

The Russian women's volleyball coach has killed himself whilst in Croatia with his club team Dinamo Moscow on Wednesday.

Sergei Ovchinikov (43) was found dead inside his hotel room on Wednesday morning in the Istrian town of Porec. Although not confirmed, it is reported that Ovchinikov was found hanging in his room by hotel staff.

"We do not know the exact details, we can only confirm that Ovchinikov has died," said Alexsander Jaremenko, president of the Russian Volleyball Association.

Ovcinikov lead Russia at the recent Olympic Games in London and took the side to the quarter-finals, disappointing the Russian media.
