Bilic names Euro squad

There were no surprises when Croatian football coach Slaven Bilic named his side today (Thurs) for the UEFA 2012 Euro in Poland and Ukraine starting next month. The full squad is: Pletikosa, Subasic, Kelava, Blazevic,Vida, Corluka, Lovren, Simunic, Schildenfeld, Jurica Buljat, Vrsaljko, Strinic, Pranjic, Srna, Dujmovic, Vukojevic, Modric, Rakitic, Perisic, Kranjcar, Badelj, Mandzukic, Jelavic, Olic, Eduardo, Ilicevic. Three players will be ommitted prior to the tournament as only 23 players can be taken to the tournament. Croatia will start their Euro campaign off on 10 June against the Republic of Ireland in Poznan. They will then face former World Cup winners Italy on 14 June before taking on current European and World Champs Spain on 18 June.
