We hope to win a medal at the European Championships, Perica Bukic says

Croatian Water Polo Federation President Perica Bukic believes Croatia can win a medal at the upcoming Water Polo Championships in 2010 and hopes the medal will be gold.

Talking about the upcoming Championship, Bukic told the Croatian Times: "It will not be easy, but all expect and wish Croatia to win a medal. As Croatian Water Polo Federation president, I do not want to put any pressure on players about which colour the medal should be, but all expect good games from them and that they will reach the finals. If you ask me about the colour of the medal, of course everyone wishes it will be gold."

Bukic took part in a friendly game ("Slatki-Slani" or Sweet Salty) played in Split and intended to promote the 2010 Men's European Water Polo Championships that will take place from 29 August to 11 September at Arena Zagreb in Zagreb, Croatia.

Sweet and Salt teams included the best former Croatian water-polo players.

Players from northern Croatia on the Sweet team won by a score of 18-10. Bukic, who played for the Sweet team, was the best player.
