Football fan hurt as brick thrown from skyscraper

Football fan Marinko Gostijancuc–Morgen was left with serious head injuries when a teenager threw a brick from the top of a 50 metre tower block as he sat watching his favourite football team.

The 69-year-old was knocked out when the brick hit him as he sat in the uncovered stands at Sibenik ground as the side took on Croatia Sesvete on Saturday.

Police said a 15-year-old boy was facing charges of endangering public safety for throwing the brick from the window of his family’s flat on the 14th floor of a tower block overlooking the ground.
