´I will always regret missing the World Cup,´ Kranjcar says

Croatian Times

Croatian national football team player Niko Kranjcar still regrets that the team failed to qualify for World Cup 2010.

Tottenham player Kranjcar said to Net website: "I will regret that we failed to qualify for World Cup 2010 my entire life. But that’s the way life and football are. Our defeat by Turkey at Euro 2008 still hurts me. But we have new challenges. Life goes on, but failures remain deep in our conscience."

Kranjcar added he was satisfied to be playing for Tottenham.

He said: "It is an ambitious club that has aspirations to enter the Champions League. We have a great team, and I believe we can reach that goal. "

Talking about his injured Tottenham Croatian colleague Luka Modric, Kranjcar said Modric had started light training and would soon be able to return to the field.
