Weekend Media Festival to take place in Rovinj

Croatian Times

Representatives from one of the world's largest publishers of monthly magazines, including Cosmopolitan and Esquire, will join representatives from the British Guardian newspaper in New York and HuffPost, as guests of the 5th Weekend Media Festival, the largest regional communications festival in the region.

Weekend Media Festival will be held in the former tobacco factory in Rovinj, on Croatia's northern Adriatic coast from 20-23 September, where, among other things, an extensive program of panel discussions on topics such as 'The Myth of the TV rating', 'Looking over the fence' and 'Where is journalism going on' will take place.

Among other guests at the four-day festival include Conor White-Sullivan, director of HuffPost Labs, who will talk about the future of media communications.

Also guests of the festival will be Gabriel Dance, who last year ran NYTimes.com and now is the editor of the Guardian in New York, and Kim St.Clair Bodden and Jay McGill from Hearst Magazines International, who have in their stables famous magazines such as Cosmopolitan and Esquire.
