Croatian artist presents a project to Prince Alois of Liechtenstein

Croatian Times

Croatian artist Vlado Franjevic has put forward a proposal to merge different industries into one artistic whole, at a meeting at the Princley castle in Vaduz.

In a discussion with hereditary Prince Alois of Lichtenstein, Franjevic and his deputy at the KulturGilde Union Roland Weinger, said they wanted to marry economic theory with cultural creativity to create concrete projects.

"Art and culture move in an area of conflict between artistic freedom and economy, " said Franjevic who has been honored by the principality of Liechtenstein for his international exhibitions.

"In thses projects everyone can concentrate on their specific field, and by so doing bring art and advertisement together," he said.

Prince Alois welcomed the initiative and in particular was keen to help the Union in presenting a better image of Lichtenstein abroad.

The image of the Principality is often wrongly or negatively portrayed and vice-president Roland Weiniger confirmed he ad encountered nothing but a distorted picture of Liechtenstein in handling customers or colleagues.

"By simply visiting the country such impressions would be immediately reversed," he said.

"That’s why Liechtensteinians such as ski running driver Marco Büchel are important Ambassadors of the country."
