A three-times Guinness World Record holder has accused stratosphere jumper Felix Baumgartner of intellectual theft.
Bulgarian Ivan Andre Trifonov who lives in Austria and Croatia says Baumgartner came up with the idea for the jump - after hearing it from him.
Speaking to daily newspaper Novi List, Trifonov who is already in the Guinness book of Records for hot air ballooning over the Med sea, the North Pole and the South Pole, said: "I had the idea for jumping from the stratosphere in 1992.
"I told Felix about it in 2005 after my wife told me I was too old for it.
"He agreed to do it and said he would involve me, but then he set me a message saying he’d teamed up with some Americans and didn’t need me anymore.
"But I am the father of the jump," he said from his home in Liznjan.
But he adds he doesn’t have any hard feelings towards Baumgartner and says he sent the jumper a text message saying: "Well done. Let’s meet for dinner when you get back to Austria."
