A Croatian climber died on Sunday after falling 200 metres.
Emilijan Gluhak, 53, from Varazdin was climbing the west side of Mt. Montasio in northern Italy when tragedy struck.
The expert leader of a mountain rescue team, Gluhak and a companion had been attempting to scale the 1,900 metre mountain when he ran into technical difficulties and plummeted to his death.
His companion, who hasn’t been named, managed to contact the Italian Mountain Rescue on his mobile.
