Coca Cola truck smashes 400-year-old UNESCO protected balcony

A 400-year-old Venetian balcony protected by UNESCO was destroyed when a Coca Cola truck drove into it.

 According to reports, the truck driver was attempting to maneuver down a narrow street in Milna on the Adriatic island of Brac when it slammed into the stone balcony, smashing it to pieces.

 "This was an UNESCO protected balcony over 400 years old, so we know it was worth a lot," a regional cultural heritage protection officer has told local paper Slobodna Dalmacija.

The balcony, owned by a man living in the United States, was a popular tourist attraction.

No one was hurt in the incident.
