Minister: EU gives green light for Peljesac bridge

Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vesna Pusic, has stated that the Peljesac bridge project has been given the green light from the European Union and that it is now up to Croatia to take the next steps in realising the project, reports daily newspaper 24sata. The bridge, which will connect the southern Dalmatian peninsula of Peljesac with the mainland, is a candidate for funding from the EU says Pusic. "Peljesac bridge can be a candidate for funding from the European Union structural fond. We made an important step opening up all possibilities, now it is up to us to support this argument" said Pusic on Monday from Brussels. Pusic says that a study showing the best solutions needs to first be prepared demonstrating not only the financial feasibility but also the political and technical feasibility.
