British-Croatian heiress in Kidnap plot

The daughter of Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone and his former Croatian wife Slavica Radic, was at the centre of a kidnap plot, a British court has heard yesterday, reports daily newspaper 24sata.
A 41-year-old British resident is in court after threatening to kidnap Tamara Ecclestone unless he was paid 900,000 GBP. The man is accused of demanding cash from her tycoon father Bernie during a series of phone calls.
"This was a crudely-executed, perhaps not frivolous but rather amateurish, attempt to obtain money from Mr Ecclestone. The family is vulnerable and Mr Ecclestone took it seriously," the prosecutor told the court, adding that "The impact on Tamara Ecclestone as a human being has been significant in her home and working life."
The man has been bailed to reappear in a London court on Friday. It is the second alleged blackmail plot involving the 27-year-old part Croatian heiress.
