Austrian, Italian, Serbian and Czech Police to Patrol on Croatian coast

Police from Austria, Italy and Serbia will be patrolling the streets of Pula and Porec in Istria, while police officers from the Czech Republic will be stationed in the Dalmatian town of Sibenik this summer as part of a project that was launched back in 2006.

'A Safe Tourist Season' was launched with the aim to ensure the saftey of domestic and foreign tourists along the Adriatic coast during the summer tourist season and will see the Austrian, Italian and Serbian officers based in Pula and Porec until 31 August.

Czech police will patrol in Sibenik and Vodice also until the end of August. The foreign police will wear the police uniforms of their home country and will not carry weapons, reports website Tportal.
