77-year-old drives opposite traffic on A-3 highway

A little more than 24 hours after a tragic accident that killed a man who was driving in the opposite direction of traffic, another driver did the same on the same road.

Only this time, the 77-year-old behind the wheel realized his mistake and pulled over at a rest stop 2.6 kilometers after entering A-3 highway at Popovaca loop. He then tried to join the traffic in the right direction, but was soon after pulled over by the police that had been notified of another potential disaster by concerned travelers.

The police says that the highway entrance is properly marked and that they are astounded that such a thing would happen twice in a span of 24 hours, Croatian daily Jutarnji List reports.
