Croatian Times

Most confirmed cases of swine flu in Croatia have occurred in the cities of Zagreb and Split.

According to epidemiologists, there are 1,104 who have swine flu symptoms, and 313 cases have been confirmed.

Despite the number of cases, doctors and epidemiologists still believe there is no reason for panic and have not recommended school closures.

Anyone who has symptoms should contact a family doctor.

The Ministry of Health has announced that seasonal influenza vaccinations will start on Thursday and be free for all those suffering from chronic illnesses and senior citizens.

A 61-year-old man died on Saturday in Split hospital from swine flu, the first fatality in Croatia from the disease. He had massive organ failure.
