One Split swine-flu patient is in serious condition

A Split man in his 60s who has swine flue was taken to the Split hospital intensive care ward last Friday in serious condition.

Nikola Bradaric, the head of the infectious-diseases department at Split hospital, has confirmed four people have been hospitalized with swine flue in Split.

Two patients have already gone home, one is still in hospital receiveing therapy with a high fever, and the fourth in intensive care is in the worst condition.

Bradaric said Split is no longer "importing" swine flu through foreign tourists but its is possible to be infected from some of local residents.

Epidemiologist from public health department of Split and Dalmatian county said until now 184 swine flue cases have been reported in Split Dalmatian County, but they believe the real number is ten times higher.
