An Austrian climber was rescued in Croatia after she was injured in Velika Paklenica canyon in the south of the country yesterday (Weds) afternoon.
The 48-year-old woman, named only as U.K., fell while climbing with a friend and broke her right foot.
The friend contacted the rescue service and warned it that the Austrian was bleeding heavily.
Seven rescuers soon located the woman and transported her to the regional hospital in Zadar where she underwent surgery.
