Best Tourist Weekend of the Year in Dalmatia

The Split-Dalmatia County in Croatia experienced its best tourist weekend of the year on the last weekend of July, according to data from Split's airport and ferry port, reports Croatian radio station Radio 101.
On Saturday alone more than 55,000 tourists passed through Split's airport and ferry port as tourist flocked to the Adriatic coast in the last weekend of July.
There were also large queues on all major roads heading along the coast on the last weekend of July. The 55,000 passengers in a day record beats the record of 35,000 set earlier in the month.
