Croatian mobile networks, in the first quarter of 2012 continued to record increased spending of minutes on their networks. Croatians spent 7.3 per cent more minutes compared to the same period last year, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.
In the first quarter of this year Croatians spent a total of 1.5 billion minutes, whilst minutes spent on fixed networks continued to decline at the rate of 9.6 per cent.
Minutes spent on international calls also dropped from last year. There were 16 million minutes spent on international traffic, a 11.5 per cent drop.
Croatians sent 3.2 per cent more SMS messages in the first quarter of 2012 compared to the same period in 2011. The total number of SMS messages sent was 753 million. MMS messages dropped by 3.6 per cent with 5.3 million sent, reported website Tportal.
