Croatia's President Ivo Josipovic today officially commissioned the largest Croatian solar power plant of 400 kW in Sveta Klara in New Zagreb on Thursday, reported website poslovni.hr.
The power plant comprises of 3,000 square meters of photovoltaic cells on seven roofs, producing around 400,000 kWh of electricity for about 130 households.
The solar plant in Zagreb will also have a positive effect on the enviroment, reduce CO2 emissions by 232 tons annually.
"We must use and build a green Croatia, a green Europe and a green planet," said Josipovic at yesterday's opening.
