Seven Croatian firms go into electric car battery charger business

Seven Croatian firms have announced they are founding a consortium for manufacturing electric car chargers.
Koncar, Dalekovod, Dok-Ing, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Institut Hrvoje Pozar, Munja and Croata are the firms involved in the project, recruited for their knowledge and potential, Director of Institute Hrvoje Pozar Goran Granic said. He added that the idea has been on the table for the past six months.
"Now the companies have to decide about their participation in the consortium," he said.
Each firm would contribute from its area of expertise, so Croata would be responsible for marketing and branding, Munja has the greatest knowledge about battery production, E.N. Tesla would be in charge of building the software, etc.
Granic said that City of Zagreb would be interested in supporting the project that is currently in its early stages, the Croatian daily Vecernji List writes.
