Jadran has produced 800 million pairs of hose
Croatian Times
Jadran, a Croatia hosiery firm, has produced 800 million pairs of hose in the last 80 years.
The company, which does business in 13 countries, had a profit of around 500,000 kunas (69,000 Euros) last year.
Jadran is one of the rare examples of a profitable textile company, the success of which is based on its creativity, according to the media.
In the autumn, Jadran is planning to start its new line "Jadran Exclusive". Company management believes the new line will enable it to market its wares at malls such as German Galeria Kaufhof and Karstadt.
Jadran already cooperates with firms such as Billa, Spar, Konzum, Metro, Kaufland, DM, Mercator, Emmezeta and BIPA. It has 32 shops in Croatia and plans to open more.
The company is also planning is to start selling its products on the internet at the beginning of 2011.
