That the problem of unemployment in Croatia has become very serious was obvious yesterday (Mon) when the Osijek branch office of the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ) was literally inundated by people who went there to apply for the position of taxi driver.
The Osijek.online website has reported it was hardly possible to move in the HZZ building.
Company head Kosta Minosvki admitted he had been shocked by the number of people applying for the position of taxi driver.
On the first day, around 70 candidates were interviewed, and the rest will be interviewed during the next two days.
The basic monthly salary will be 2,700 kunas or 372 Euros.
