It just shows you can never tell who might be dropping in for breakfast.
So when a 71-year-old glider pilot tried to make an emergency landing in gardens, the baffled owners of this house watched him sail past their bedroom window and straight into the roof.
"We thought someone must have died but then the cockpit popped open and this little old man emerged looking confused but unhurt," said passer by Tomas Spiller, who witnessed the crash in Jesenik in the Czech Republic.
Police spokesman Jitka Dolejsova said: "What we know so far is the pilot attempted an emergency landing but crash landed into the roof of the house.
"It was 8.30am on Sunday morning and the house owners were in their bedroom having breakfast. It must have been quite a shock for them."
