Too told to adopt IVF mum tragedy

One of the twins born to a mum who had IVF treatment because she was too old to adopt has died aged just one month, medics confirmed today (monday).
Mum Krasimira Dimitrova, 62, became one of the oldest mothers of twins in the world when she gave birth to daughters Jacklyn and Merry last month in Pleven, Bulgaria.
But clinic medics have revealed that little Jacklyn lost her struggle for life after a series of operations following her birth.
Her sister Merry is stable and now weighs in at two and a half pounds, more than double her birth weight.
Psychologist Krasimira - who got her pension just as she applied for maternity leave - turned to IVF after being ruled too old to adopt by local social services authorities.
"I wanted a family but when I was frustrated by the adoption service I realised the only way to make this happen would be to give birth to my own children," she said before the birth.
"It is nightmare to adopt a child in my country. I deposited all the papers I had to and in the end the clerk did not allow mr to adopt a child.
"The social services were so rude and told me that if I adopt I child I may pass away before she was grown up.
"Some will say that my actions were wrong, but I think that I was right. This is the reason I'm alive, and I am so happy that I did it," she added.
