Two Croatian soldiers injured in helicopter accident in Afghanistan

Croatian Times

Two Croatian soldiers have been injured when an Afghan army helicopter carrying them flipped during landing, the Ministry of Defence has announced.

The accident happened around 9:05am today (Thursday) during a regular assignment carried out by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan. The helicopter was flying between Kabul and Jalalabad, carrying five ISAF soldiers, three Afghan National Army soldiers and a translator.

One of the Croatians received superficial cuts on the knee, while others suffered no injuries, daily Jutarnji List writes.

All were treated at the American hospital and will return to headquarters in Kabul to resume their assignments.
